Social Events
At Portsmouth North Rotary while one of our main aims is to raise funds for local charities, schools and projects we certainly have a lot of fun along the way. Working together with a shared purpose is always great fun, however we also have a series of events planned each year where we get out and about and enjoy ourselves. Here are just a few examples.
RNLI WEEKEND
An enjoyable weekend spent at the RNLI College- Poole with a charity donation.
We enjoyed the RNLI tour of the manufacturing and safety department at the POOLE HQ. We were pleased to present a cheque of £1,000 made by the President to the RNLI.
Hayling Light Railway.
A trip out on the Hayling Light Railway and lunch was enjoyed by the members. A tour of the engine sheds and a talk on the history of the Railway. A donation was presented by Rtn. Mike Sanders
We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary.
Because of the Covid pandemic the event was delayed by two years but nevertheless a weekend away in the New Forest was well supported by all members and a very enjoyable time.
Our members enjoy other social events throughout the year with skittles and Christmas Parties. Through working together on projects, our regular meetings and social events, we have a lot of fun and create great friendships

Golf Day
Entry is now open for this year’s Charity Golf Day which will be held on the 6th June 2025 at Rowlands Castle Golf Club.
This will be the 25th anniversary of our Charity Golf Day, in that time, we have raised over £330,000 for charities.
Christmas Shoe Box Scheme
Portsmouth North club and other clubs up and down the country organise the collection and distribution of thousands of boxes to go to disadvantaged and displaced children in many countries including Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Ukraine.
ShelterBox
Over the last few years Portsmouth North has donated dozens of Shelter Boxes for this fantastic charity,who work with disaster-affected communities.
They provide the emergency shelter, essential items and training needed to support people in the long process of rebuilding their lives.
Our Local Schools
We work with and support our Local schools in Portsmouth North with Dictionaries for Life, project donations, reading, writing, youth speaks & sponsorships
