Welcome to The Portsmouth North Rotary Web Site. I hope that you find the details of Rotary and its work interesting and informative. Established over 50 years ago, we are a very sociable club who enjoy each other’s company and contribute actively, making a difference within our community and internationally. We enjoy fundraising, community service and social events and we have weekly evening meetings which help to build lasting friendships and business relationships.
What is Rotary?
Rotary is a facilitator for good, acting through fellowship as a connector of people and is an amazing experience. We meet countless people who are passionate about making our world a better place, for all, and we are given opportunities to understand and respond to challenges being experienced in communities both here in the UK and overseas.

Our current projects
Golf Day for 2026
Next year’s Charity Golf Day will be held on the 4th June 2026 at Rowlands Castle Golf Club.
This will be the 26th year of our Charity Golf Day, in that time, we have raised over £340,000 for charities.
Christmas Shoe Box Scheme
Portsmouth North Rotary and other Rotary clubs up and down the country organise the collection and distribution of thousands of boxes to go to disadvantaged and displaced children in many countries including Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Ukraine.
ShelterBox
Over the last few years Portsmouth North has donated dozens of Shelter Boxes for this fantastic charity,who work with disaster-affected communities.
They provide the emergency shelter, essential items and training needed to support people in the long process of rebuilding their lives.
Our Local Schools
We work with and support our Local schools in Portsmouth North with Dictionaries for Life, project donations, reading, writing, youth speaks & sponsorships
They support us with Shoe Boxes at Christmas
