Next Years Charity Golf Day 4th June 2026

The Rotary Club of Portsmouth North celebrated its 25th  annual charity golf day at the Rowlands Castle Golf Club on Thursday 5 June 2025. Next years 

Over the last 26 years these events have raised well over £340,000, every penny of which has gone to support local charities in the Portsmouth area. In recent years well over 30 local charities have benefitted in this way. The money raised each year is placed in the Club’s charitable fund and is then allocated across the coming year to local charities chosen by members, many of which are guest speakers at the Club’s weekly meetings. Where possible, funds are also used to support specific charitable projects, the last of these being the construction of a potting shed built for the New Blendworth Centre which was a huge success and was opened by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire.

This year there were 24 teams of 4 supporting the event, teeing off throughout the day. Players competed for best team, longest drive, nearest the pin and hole in one (to win a BMW!). In the evening the players and Rotary members enjoy an excellent dinner with the ‘Roast Beef of Old England’ carved at the tables, followed by prize giving and a raffle draw.

As always, the Club seeks sponsorship as part of the fund-raising efforts and on this occasion we were delighted to receive sponsorship from Briarsgate Homes, Inspired Villages (Blendworth Hills Retirement Village), Snows Group BMW, Portsmouth Plumbing and The Directory Group.

The support year after year from players and sponsors is very greatly appreciated and has done so much to support local charities and change the lives of so many. We look forward to continuing into our 26th year on 4 June 2026.
