Rotary in the Community- Raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support is a lifeline for countless individuals and families navigating the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. From the moment someone hears the life-altering news, Macmillan is there to guide them through each stage—whether it’s understanding their diagnosis, accessing vital treatments, or coping with life after treatment.

Donations to Macmillan make a tangible difference. For example, £78 could help run the Online Community for more than three hours, providing a safe, supportive space where people affected by cancer can share experiences and seek advice. With £185, Macmillan can offer around eight weeks of emotional support through regular sessions with a dedicated Macmillan Buddy.

Larger contributions have an even broader impact: £673 can fund a Macmillan support worker for a week, £1,240 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week, ensuring that patients and their families receive crucial medical, practical, and emotional support
